According to the yearly survey of real-estate magazine Property NL, KCAP has, in comparison to other architecture firms, delivered in 2021 the highest amount of commercial buildings within the Netherlands. “It is not our ambition to deliver the most square meters, but we are very proud of the quality of the projects which have put us on top of this list”, says Irma van Oort (Partner at KCAP).

Last year, we renovated two exceptional national monuments into state-of-the-art working environments, namely the Droogbak in Amsterdam and the Stationspostgebouw in The Hague. The last one is part of our urban design to enliven the HS Kwartier station environment with new program and a green landscape. As a next step in this development, we elaborate the Escher Gardens towers.
Also our 4-star Inntel Hotels The Hague Marina Beach opened last year. It is a landmark tower within our larger transformation plan for the seafront and fish harbour area of Noordelijk Havenhoofd Scheveningen.
In the Zuidas area in Amsterdam, our 2Amsterdam project opened. With high ambitions regarding circularity, this project re-uses the casco concrete structure of former office towers and transforms them into a hotel and office complex around a lush and biodiverse garden, designed by our landscape team.
In the coming weeks, the interiors of our projects Droogbak (with Fokkema & Partners), Stationspostgebouw (with Kraaijvanger Architects) and 2Amsterdam will all be finalized. We’re very much looking forward to reaching these milestones and will communicate about it very soon.
